Come on. Who doesn’t like a warm bowl of soup on a chilly morning, afternoon, or night.
What makes this newly opened place so special is their 10 hour pork base or the 6 hour chicken base. Interested? You betcha I was!
Of course, I couldn’t try out everything in one sitting. So I guess I gotta go back more than once. But the two bowls I did have (no, I didn’t/am physically incapable to eat two at once. I just went back twice…) did not disappoint. Granted, I have not been to Japan yet to taste any OG ramen or whatnot, but I’m not that picky. If anything, if I’m satisfied with this then maybe it will be EVEN BETTER.
In order to keep myself from starving us couple of friends prefer to head there just a few minutes after they open. By the way, this place only sells their ramen until they run out of soup for the day. From what I see, that seems like it could be pretty quick seeing how busy the place gets when we finish just around noon.
No gallery post this time. Too busy stuffing my face instead of taking pictures.
How about it
This wasn’t spicy despite there being some chili so don’t be afraid of that if you are. I like eggs in my ramen so that was nice. Although there was chopped pork, seeing the nicely sliced braised pork on the other bowls left me wanting more meat. Still good tho
This really makes the broth taste different. But if you like Garlic you are in for a treat. I’m only giving it a 9 since it appears that the only regret my buddy had was that they were too full to finish all the noodles. (Nobodies fault but their own)
My second bowl but now with the chicken base. I can’t tell if tasted any different from the first bowl. I had miso in both of them so it’s quite possible that flavour might overpower the subtle soup base differences.
Despite that, I still enjoyed it!
A friend enjoyed this batch of pork broth. He finished the whole thing and appeared delighted.
