Ever been to Kyoto? You’ll know that one of the great things about the historical area is all the nearby forests that show a wonderful assortment of colours during autumn. Luckily I was able to brave through a long rainy morning to hike through the bamboo forests. Passing by all the tourists, I get to one of my favourite areas: Okochi Sanso Garden.
I like locations away from the crowded streets, so I was glad this little area of escape was available and there were not many people there. My initial goal was to arrive here waaaaay early in the morning. However, I missed the first train in Tokyo so by the time I arrived the tourists were released. Unfortunately, I did not get any good shots of the bamboo forest itself (darn my limited travelling time). That will be another trip the next time I go back to Japan some day.
